FIRST Energize (2022-2023)
FLL Tolland Qualifier
On November 19th, 2022, we attended the Tolland FLL Qualifier hosted by RAGE Robotics (FRC Team 173). Two members of the club served as Judges for the event, while two members served as mentors for the Moocrobots (FLL Team 58278).
Waterbury District Event
On March 10th-March 12th, 2023, we volunteered at the FRC Waterbury District Event. The event took place during the first weekend of our spring break. At this event we served as referees, judges, and judges assistants.
Western New England District Event
On March 16th-March 18th, 2023, we volunteered at the FRC Western New England District Event. The event took place during the last weekend of our spring break. At this event we served as referees, judges, and judges assistants.
Hartford District Event
On March 31st-April 2nd, 2023, we volunteered at the FRC Hartford District Event. We had a great time hanging out with Alron's alma mater team FRC 181, Birds of Prey, as they were helping run the event and selling concessions. We also got to spend time with UConn's ECE Department while they were tabling at the event promoting UConn's new robotics major.
NE England District Championship
On April 6th-April 8th, 2023, we volunteered the New England District Championships. There is nothing like watching the best teams in New England compete, and congrats to alliance captain FRC Team #1757 and their alliance partners FRC Teams #176 and #1699.
Battlecry
On June 3rd-June 4th, 2023, we volunteered at WPI's offseason event, Battlecry. It was fun hanging out with all the teams and the a great kickoff to the offseason. It was great catching up with our friends in FIRST.
HRI
On Saturday, June 17th, 2023, we hosted the very first Husky Robotics Invitational (HRI) along with the Armored Artemises and the UConn ECE Department. HRI was the first FTC and FIRST event hosted at UConn. See the HRI Tab to learn more about this event.
CT States
We ended the summer offseason with CT States (June 24th, 2023). It was a great way to celebrate how awesome CT robotics teams are. Congrats to all the students who were selected to be on the first Connecticut All State Robotics Team.
